Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern the app features and information website for LanFiles, provided by noriokun4649 (the “Operator”).

1. Use and data management

LanFiles is an app for managing files on devices, USB storage, networks, and cloud services. Only operate on data you are authorized to access, and back up important data. Check the items involved before deleting, replacing, moving, or performing Root operations. Supported features depend on the device, storage location, and external service.

2. Requirements and costs

Android 8.0 or later is required. Root features require a compatible device and permission to use su. Users are responsible for connection costs for downloads, authentication, and transfers, as well as device and external service costs.

3. External services

Google Play, Google Drive, Microsoft, cloud services, and other external services are subject to their providers’ terms. Integrations may become unavailable because of changes to external services, outages, revoked permissions, or other conditions. You should also protect your credentials and review access permissions.

4. Prohibited conduct

Unauthorized access to third-party data, infringement of rights, distribution of malware, interference with the provision of services, and unlawful conduct are prohibited.

5. Software licenses

LanFiles’s original source code is provided under the MIT License. Third-party components have their own licenses, shown on the app’s Licenses screen. These Terms do not restrict the rights to use, copy, modify, or redistribute software granted by the MIT License or other applicable licenses.

6. Changes to the service and liability

The Operator may update the app to fix issues or adapt to external changes. Support for every device, file format, or connection, or the provision of updates indefinitely, is not guaranteed. If a change or discontinuation significantly affects use of the app, the Operator will give advance notice where possible and respond in accordance with applicable law.

The Operator’s liability is determined under applicable law. These Terms do not exclude liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or restrict users’ rights under Japan’s Consumer Contract Act or other mandatory laws.

7. Personal information and changes to these Terms

Information handling is described in the Privacy Policy. These Terms may be changed to the extent permitted by law, with the changes and effective date announced on this website or by other appropriate means. The required procedures will be followed for changes that require individual consent.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Japanese law. This does not exclude protections under mandatory laws applicable in your place of residence or elsewhere. Jurisdiction over disputes is determined under applicable law.
